Two ZAK's are approaching, one is the normal-type,
and another is the red-painted:'CHAR OF RED COMET'.
ここで突然シューティングゲームが始まる。
照準をテンキーで動かして、スペースキーでショット。
ショットを撃つたびにエネルギーが減っていき、
エネルギーが尽きるとゲームオーバー。
The key word is 'THE RED COMET'.
苦労してエンディングまで辿り着いたというのに、
全員から嫌な表情で睨まれる鬱エンドｗ
～解説～
テキストは英語だし、状況説明を淡々とされるだけで、
特にストーリー展開が面白いとか皆無なわけだが、
そもそもＴＶアニメ「機動戦士ガンダム」の第1話を
コマンド入力アドベンチャーゲームのフォーマットに落とし込んだだけなので
だいたい何が起こっているのか絵を見ればわかるだろう。
このゲーム最大の魅力はボイス再生だろう。
タイトル画面ではＴＶアニメの主題歌「翔べ! ガンダム」が歌つきで流れ、
エンディングでは
ブライトがアムロを叱咤するセリフが流れるｗ
「え! ?この時代にそれはオーバーテクロノジーなのでは！？」
とお思いかも知れない。
その仕掛けはこうだ。
この時代、メディアはカセットテープである。
カセットテープのプログラムが書き込まれていない部分に生音が収録されており、
そのシーンに来たらパソコンからリモートで頭出しして音を再生する・・
というわけだ。
ぶっちゃけ、ゲームをプレイしなくても
ラジカセで再生すれば聴けてしまうのだが。(^^;
本作はアドベンチャーゲームとしてのデキは良くない。
前述したようにストーリー展開の面白さは皆無だし、
謎解きも「ガンダムの1話を知っていればわかる」というもので
言葉探しの遊びは成り立っていない。
途中で挿入されるシューティングゲームはショボイし。
このゲーム遊ぶくらいならＴＶ版の第1話をビデオで繰り返し観た方がいい(爆)
なのだが、本作の存在意義はゲームの面白さではない。
ＴＶで大人気のガンダム。
そんなガンダムと同じ絵がパソコンの画面に表示される。
それだけでとても価値のある事だった。
さらにそれでゲームが遊べてしまう。
さらにさらにテレビと同じ声まで出る！
これもまた求められた形の一つだったのである。
ちなみに本作のタイトルに「PART 1」とつけられている通り、
第2弾の「機動戦士ガンダム PART 2 翔べ!ガンダム」も発売されている。
そしてこのシリーズは「PART 5」まで計画されていたが、
PART3～PART5は発売中止となった。
